In Ramsar Convention damp ground of "visiting wetlands of Miyagi" having been registered, Lake Kabukuri was registered with kajonuma about Lake Izu, Uchinuma as the second wetlands in the country in 2008 in 2005 in 1985.
These three wetlands are located in proximity to only about less than 15km in Honshu, and we are known in autumn as wintering place of migratory bird largest in Japan in winter, and approximately 80% of wild geese coming flying in the whole country gather in these three wetlands.
